The Lily Pad Collective
building women to launch new ventures
Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here.
The Lily Pad Collective, Inc. was founded with the mission to give women in the Omaha community the space, resources, and community to grow in their professional careers and entrepreneurial endeavors. Founders, Madeline, Makayla and Shameah know how hard it was for them in the start of their careers to find a group of self-motivated, innovative women looking to uplift, share and lend a hand.
Whether it’s sharing professional advice, connecting individuals or business leaders, or simply looking for a new place to make friends – we’re your pad.
Shameah Sayed, Co-founder
Meet co-founder, Shameah!
Shameah is an Operations Lead at a Technology company in Omaha. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Business Analytics.
Shameah came up with the idea of forming a group of like-minded entrepreneurial women and has been building the idea with the two co-founders, Madeline and Makayla. Her favorite part about building this group has been seeing the idea executed and flourish in the past year. She’s in awe of how many young women have and continue to support us alongside building a strong and inclusive community.
Madeline Allen, Co-founder
Meet co-founder, Madeline!
Madeline is a Delivery Manager (Project Manager + Scrum Master) at a Digital Transformations Consulting Company called Lunavi. She completed her MBA last May and was a part of Maverick Venture Fund during that time, where she connected with her two co-founders.
Her favorite part of building LPC has been seeing the growth and interest from like-minded women in the Omaha area. Creating a community where ideas come to life and women can collaborate and grow professionally and personally is great to see and very rewarding to her!
Makayla Leiting, Co-founder
Meet co-founder, Makayla!
Makayla is an Economic Development Consultant with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. She recently graduated with two undergraduate degrees in December and has a background working with startups.
Makayla is passionate about empowering the next generation of women leaders and founders. Her favorite thing about building the Lily Pad Collective is getting to know members of the group as it grows. She’s so inspired by all of the ambition and talent!
Building a platform to give young women the necessary resources and support on their entrepreneurial journey makes her excited for the future.
